A5 - System maintenance requirements

The Scotchmist system is designed for ease of maintenance.

The pumps self-check their own operation on a continual basis by maintaining a pressure up to the manifold. This ensures that they self-run at least once a week. Maintenance is minimal and checks need only be carried out every six or twelve months.

The nozzles require an annual visual inspection to ensure they have not suffered mechanical damage and the turbine should be spun to ensure that it rotates freely.

All maintenance checks should be carried out by an approved Scotchmist agent.
